Eric Dane and Dick Van Dyke?

This week in Parade Magazine, a reader asked if Grey’s Anatomy purposefully named Eric Dane’s character Dr. Mark Sloan after Dick Van Dyke’s Dr. Mark Sloan on Diagnosis Murder. HA! I laughed out loud. Of course, producer/writer Krista Vernoff said it was just a coincidence, but that’s just too cute. McSteamy named for Dick Van Dyke. Love it.

    I love that people keep bringing that up. as a huge dick van dyke fan i noticed that right of the bat. so i’m glad to see that people are asking what in the heck?
