Emmy Nominations

Emmy Nominations were announced this morning. Grey’s Anatomy is nominated for Best Drama. The show is up against Boston Legal, Hereos, House and The Sopranos. Ellen Pompeo was shut out of the Lead Actress in a Drama race and none of the Grey’s guys were nominated in the Lead Actor in a Drama category. BUT, big news in the Supporting Actress in a Drama category - Katherine Heigl, Chandra Wilson and Sandra Oh were ALL nominated. TR Knight was nominated in the Supporting Actor in a Drama category. In the Guest Actress in a Drama category Kate Burton was nominated (Kate played Meredith’s mother, Ellis Grey) along with Elizabeth Reaser (Ava).

Congratulations to the show and all nominated! I’m glad to see the ON SCREEN drama was actually recognized and didn’t get lost in the off screen drama.

    I know… I was so excited to see all the emmy nods. However, as to T.R.’s nod, I can’t help but wonder if it isn’t a mercy nod from all the offscreen drama. Not that I don’t like his character, it’s one of the most likeable ones, I just feel that Justin Chamber’s character grew more in this last season and he really did a good job with the story lines he was given too. Just my $.02 though. There will be no doubt I will be watching.
