If you could write one character out of the show, who would it be and why?
My vote would be for Callie. I just don’t get her with George. And while I like that she’s a strong female character, she’s lost her punch since getting with George. She just flat out get on my nerves.
Who would you get rid of?
Justin Chambers showed up cute and casual at last weekend’s Kids’ Choice Awards.

hey! Sorry I have been out for 2 days. I really screwed up my back and had to get some rest the past couple of days. So you guys tell me - what’s the latest? Have I missed any good Grey’s stuff?

Ok, I have to totally admit that I didn’t get to see last night’s episode! I know, can you believe I would actually miss one??? But I had a good reason, I went to see the Bangles last night. Freaking awesome! Anyway, I’m sorry I don’t have a recap, but when I see it, I’ll recap. In the meantime, you guys feel free to comment amongst yourselves about the episode!
For the hotness that could have been Addisex.

Eric Dane and wife Rebecca Gayheart were also there.

Ok, I’ll admit, I was totally skeptical about this whole Addison’s Anatomy business at first. But now? Hmm… I’m starting to get psyched to see it. I am worried that the whole dynamic of the show will change without Addy, but I have faith in Shonda Rhimes and company. The cast of the spin off just keeps getting better. So far we have Taye Diggs, Paul Adelstein, Chris Lowell, Tim Daly, Amy Brenneman and Merrin Dungey. Any Alias fans out there? No? Well, how about Summerland fans? (oh come on, you know you loved it). Anyway, Merrin is fantastic and was on Alias as Francie, later on, dubbed as Evil Francie. I’m getting stoked about this show, y’all. Maybe it will fill the hole in my heart that Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars will leave. We’ll see.

Ok, Ok, I’ll admit it–when it comes to cheesy online quizzes, I’m pretty much the queen. Love Grey’s as much as I do? Take this quick quiz to find out which character you are. My results (surprise, surprise):

Wow. Good episode. It went down pretty much like we all thought. Meredith pulled through and her mother passed away. Even though I knew (or figured) both would happen, I still was surprised by some of the episode. It was very well done. I love that we got a little background on Christina losing her father at a young age. I loved every scene she was in. I liked that Izzie finally realized what an ass she was being. But is it too late? And what about Callie? Ouch - those were some rough comments. The one thing that did bother me a bit was we didn’t get to see the other interns really react to Meredith’s situation. George was in LOVE with her and we barely got a few reaction shots from him. Anyway, I know it was impossible to get everything in.
Addison — yep, there’s the set up for her pilot. Mark will screw up (read, screw someone else, maybe Izzie?) during the 60 days he agreed to go without sex to prove he’s serious about Addison. And when he does, she’ll go back to New York for her new show, costarring Taye Diggs (yeah, forgot to tell you guys that). The main disappointment about her leaving is thinking we won’t get to see her interact with Derek and the gang anymore. And goodbye Addisex, we hardly knew ye.
But back to tonight. What did you guys think?
Hey everyone. I’m posting so if you’re so inclined you can comment during the show tonight. Of course be advised, stay away until you’ve seen the show. I’ll try to recap right after or at the very least, give you some initial thoughts on the big episode. In the meantime, comment away!

Kate Walsh was on Jimmy Kimmel last week. She talks about being single, a broken engagement and game nights. If you’ve never seen an interview with her, she’s quite funny.
I don’t know if it was the ticker tape parade marching through my sinuses while I watched this episode, or if it actually was a bit disappointing. (Please let me know which in the comments). The episode sort of smacked of vintage George Clooney ER days. And by the way, I LOVED those early seasons of ER. And I know its sweeps and big, dramatic “Very Special Episodes” are supposed to take place. Something was just missing to me. Maybe it was a bit slow since this is only the set up for two more ferry boat centered episodes. So let’s discuss a few things…
Addison - seriously, put her in the show more. I LOVED the scene in the elevator when she told the guys to back off about the Chief’s hair. And she called Mark a Man Whore. Hmm… wonder if the writers read this here blog? ha! I also loved the interaction with her and the Chief at the board when they talked about moving on. Those two are always good in scenes together.
Burktina. Yeah, whatever. They are engaged, but Yang asks him not tell Derek until she tells Meredith. But Burke does it anyway. Can these two stay happy for three seconds?
The McNewlyweds are having some trouble adjusting to being married and working together - with one as an upper level resident and one as an intern. Rut roh. Apparently this is why nepotism is never good.
Alex is stepping up, y’all. He really is. He’s showing compassion and concern for his patients, while keeping just the right amount of attitude. When Addison overheard him talking to Jane Doe and let out that big sigh, I thought we’d end again with her with McManWhore working out those frustrations, but we didn’t. Thankfully. Oh and Alex’s black wife beater tee made another appearance, and all the ladies say??? yeah, that’s what I thought.
Izzie spent the entire episode trying to help a trapped patient with no other help. This got frustrating to me very quick. I know in real life this would very likely happen, but on the small screen it is boring to see the same scene 5 times. And the preview for next week with the drill? Seriously???
And Meredith. Poor Meredith who is still so distraught with Mama Drama that she just sinks into that bathtub. I keep waiting for her to pull a Sylvia Plath anytime now. But the biggest SERIOUSLY that I literally shouted at my TV had to be when she plunged into the water.
There’s no WAY they would kill her off. Right? RIGHT?? It’s just not possible. If they do, consider the shark jumped, rode, surfed on, chopped up and fried, people. So there’s no way.
Right?
Patrick was interviewed recently by Life Magazine. We’ve seen many of these quotes before, but it is still worth checking out. There are some great photos, too. Enjoy!
