Katherine Heigl made Barbara Walter’s 10 Most Fascinating People List for 2007. You can check local listings for the air time on Friday. In other Katherine news, she’s making headlines this week by admitting she had a hard time with her character in Knocked Up. She says she was tired of always being the “hard ass and no fun” in that one. She even called her character a “shrew” at one point. And in today’s news, TV Guide gives us a sneak peak of an upcoming Vanity Fair interview, “That was kind of a big change for Izzie, wasn’t it, after she was so up on her moral high ground. They really hurt [Callie], and they didn’t seem to be taking a lot of responsibility for it. I have a really hard time with that kind of thing. I don’t really know Izzie very well…it was a ratings ploy. It was absolutely something that shocked people [and] wasn’t predictable. Business is business… but I want there to be some cooperation between the business and the creative end, so there’s some way of keeping it real.”
I love how candid Katie is. Love her or hate her, she speaks her mind and I respect that. I know some of you love the George and Izzie pairing and I’m sure you’ve picked up on the fact that I fall on the other side of that debate, but either way, I think she’s right about how much that smacked of a ratings stunt. Anyway, here’s hoping this strike will end and we can all just enjoy a full season and debate all the pairings on a regular basis!
