Patrick Dempsey was at the Nextel Cup Serires Ford 400 on Sunday. Patrick is a huge race fan and in his spare time he even races himself at a lower level than Nascar. Check out Patrick looking all, well, McDreamy.

Isaiah Washington claims that the skirmish between him and Patrick Dempsey on the set (where Isaiah allegedly called TR Knight a f—-t) was blown way out of proportion. When asked if things were good on the set now, he replied, “Everything was good on the set four weeks ago.” He goes on to say that the tabloids coverage of the fight was “disappointing” and he even joked that he bought stock in the tabloids “since they make so much money off us.”

In a segment that aired Friday, on Oprah visited the set of Grey’s. Washington told Winfrey, “I lost my cool, but it wasn’t coming out of a place of animus for Patrick or T.R. or anyone. It was coming out of a place of trying to stay focused about the work. I’ve been working with these beautiful men for three years now, and we had an argument as brothers. It came about at a time and a place that was overwhelming for both of us.” He went on to say that “What it was not, was a brawl.”

Patrick Dempsey told Oprah, “I think what happens is we needed to just be open and be able to communicate and not let things build up,” Dempsey told Winfrey. “I think we’ve come to that point where it’s much freer to communicate with each other, and we’re more relaxed because of it. I think the whole company’s tighter.”

I love how Washington just went straight to the Queen Oprah to make his plea for everyone to let it go. They only way it could have been a more obvious PR play was if he had of agreed to go on the show instead of having O conduct an interview on the set. I’m so ready for this to be dropped, but I don’t think it will be for a while. I read another angry letter in Entertainment Weekly this week, calling for Washington to be fired.

Meredith and Derek are all happy and together and all “bright and shiny�? now. I wonder how long that will last. Since he’s shiny, Derek decides to be civil with Addison and they team up to talk to the Chief about his depression. Instead of listening though, they end up arguing about what he should do. The Chief tells him tha the wants to go back to Adele and try to make his marriage work. To do this, he must give up Ellis. He tells Meredith and she has to break the news to her mother. I’m glad to see Meredith is back involved with her Mom – for a while there, I thought they had dropped that storyline. Side note – did you know the actress that plays her mom is Richard Burton’s daughter?

Elsewhere, Alex and Izzie report to Sloan for work. Sloan asks Alex if it is “Bring a hot blonde to work day.�? And Izzie responds with “cough SEXUAL HARRASEMENT, cough!�? Too funny. They are tasked with going to get his dry cleaning and to bring him lunch. Addison witnesses this and reminds Mark that he is supposed to be teaching the interns not just bossing them around. Alex and Izzie bond while working on a patient with pec implants. The guy tells Alex that he can see he how much he cares about Izzie and he should do something about it – a grand gesture. Alex allows Izzie to perform a minor procedure on the patient as his grand gesture. Afterwards, he kisses Izzie, shocked, she says “I didn’t know you still felt that way about me.�? Alex admitted he was surprised to find this out himself. They shared a good laugh and a drink. I was proud that Alex took her rejection so well. In the past he would have angrily sulked and left. He’s growing on me.

Meredith and Bailey work on a little girl that was ran over by accident by her babysitter. The little girl is so attached to her nanny that she doesn’t want her parents, just the nanny. During surgery Meredith wonders why any parents with high end careers would chose to have kids. Clearly touching a nerve, Bailey barks that parents do the best they can do and tells Meredith to shut her mouth. Ouch! Later, Bailey calls and her husband puts her son Tucker on the phone and she sings to him. It was so sweet – I was crying.

George’s father was diagnosed with cancer and a leaky heart valve. Concerned, he asked Burke if he was fine. He put the pieces together when he saw that Burke allowed Christina to do a complicated surgery by herself. Christina denied it when he asked her about it, but the big news was that Bailey overheard George’s accusation. The jig is about up, y’all. I love George – this was one of TR Knight’s best performances yet. When he was in the stairwell with Meredith and Izzie, I was crying.

Since Grey’s is so huge now, the cast is out and about enjoying walking the carpets around Hollywood. Kate was recently at the Helio Drift by Samsung Launch Party. Sloan and Addison must love the hot new Samsung gadgets!

I walk a fine line with Eric Dane. He was so hot getting out of the shower earlier in the season, but I think I’m just done with his character. So he’s looking less and less McSteamy to me. Anyway, here he is at the Launch of the Samsung BlackJack red carpet. Thoughts? Love or hate the character, is he worthy of the “McSteamy” title?

I KNEW IT!!! Kristin at E! says a source confirmed that “”Addison and Alex. It is on.” YEA!! I can’t wait to see this storyline play out, y’all! What do you think?

Patrick Dempsey made People Magazine’s annual list of Sexiest Men Alive. Patrick quipped “This is so funny. I’m a hunky guy now, how did that happen?”

I have to agree with People on this one, he’s definitely one of the hottest guys on television right now. Congrats! And congratulations to George Clooney for being named the Sexiest Man Alive.

Ellen Pompeo and her record producer boyfriend Chris Ivery are engaged. Chris proposed Friday morning, on Ellen’s 37th birthday. (Side note, I had no idea she wasn’t in her late twenties/early thirties). Chris gave Ellen a 3.5 carat emerald cut diamond in a platinum setting. Both are from Boston but didn’t meet until friends introduced them in 2003. Ellen says they will eventually get married, probably secretly.

It’s always great news to me to hear that our little show is doing so well ratings-wise! According to E!

Grey’s Anatomy: 20.6 million viewers. The filming of this episode reportedly led to the recent unpleasantness, but these numbers don’t show any evidence of awkwardness.

Ok, first of all, are Callie and Addison the new Bailey and Addison? Speaking of Bailey, she has been sorely missed these past few episodes. I know she was around to bark at Christina, but I miss seeing her more. I like that Addison is making friends with the other doctors. Call me crazy, and I know you will, but did anyone else pick up just the smallest girl on girl vibe when Addison asked Callie for a drink? I’m sure that’s just me because rumors have floated around the show since last season that a character is bisexual.

The boys going camping was great! I loved the whole thing. I wonder what’s going to go down between George and Burke now that his father is in the hospital. Will he trust him to operate since he saw the tremor? We saw from the preview that George confronts Christina about it.

And just when I thought Sloan couldn’t possibly get worse he goes after Meredith. Again, what did Addison ever see in this guy? Yuck.
